• INFORMATION DOWNLOAD SERVICE

Project Overview: MTN wanted to launch a service that would give subscribers access to news, information, jokes, etc on their network. The objective being to differentiate their network and to drive an increase in voice and data traffic. The MTN Download Service was implemented by MTech and launched in Q4 2002. MTech has successfully run this service to date with actual usage of close to one million subscribers.

• PREPAID VoIP SERVICE
Client: Coollink (CoolFM)
Technology Involved: VoIP, IVR, Web

Project Overview: the client wanted a Voice-over IP service to enable customers make international calls that would be billed based on flexible rates. The service was to be implemented and handed over to be managed by Coollink staff via a convenient Web-based interface. MTech has successfully implemented this project in Q3 2003.

• INTERACTIVE MARKETING

Project Overview: BAT wanted a platform developed to run different SMS based competitions for their customer database. MTech developed the in-bound /outbound server and a gaming engine to run different SMS-based games. Throughout the year 2003, MTech has used this platform to run several campaigns for BAT.

Project Overview: The Client needed a tehnology solution to enable them provide their customers with cost effective and convenient access to banking services anytime and anywhere on their mobile phones. MTech developed this solution to operate over the GSM network utilizing such applications as Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) and short Messaging Service (SMS). This product has enabled our client develop an effective customer relationship with its customers, reduce traffic in banking halls and expand its existing customer base.

• RELIGIOUS SERVICES
Project: “Power for Living”
Client: The Redeemed Evangelical Mission

Project Overview: TREM wanted to provide inspiring messages to their Christian brethren daily. MTech developed a service called “Power for Living” whereby subscribers purchased, readily available, scratch cards which contained secret PIN numbers, with which they use to subscribe and then receive inspirational messages on their phones for a month.

Client: The NASFAT Society of Nigeria
Date: Q2 2005
Project Overview: NASFAT sought to further enlighten their Muslim brethren and required a convenient means of doing so. We provided them with a download service with both an IVR and SMS subscription option. The subscribers then receive inspirational messages from the glorious Qur’an and Hadith of Prophet Mohammad for 6 days after subscription.

Client: Africa Unite Music Group/MOBO

Project Overview: AUMG, a UK-based organization partnered with MOBO for the annual Awards, and required a voting platform for Africans to cast their votes for their best act in the newly formed category for African Artists at the Awards. MTech provided an SMS based technical platform to log and collate the votes from all parts of Nigeria.

• SMS-TV SERVICE
Project: Tunisia 2004 Nokia African Cup of Nations

Project Overview: the client wanted an interactive service for the live match broadcasts. MTech successfully implemented an SMS-TV service, for the first time in Nigeria, where viewers sent in their comments and goodwill messages via SMS, which were scrolled, live during the matches.

Project Overview: the client wanted an interactive, real-time service where viewers could send in their messages, requests and greetings via SMS, during the live TV program. An SMS-TV service was also successfully implemented, and the text messages are scrolled live on the program. The service currently runs on Silverbird TV.

Projects Overview: the network operators provided a platform for embedding content on the SIM cards in order to make it easier and more convenient for subscribers to download. MTech went ahead to provide over 70% of entertainment, sports and news content for Glo.

Project Overview: Pepsi intended to make their weekly football show called “Pepsi on the Ball” more interactive. We deployed an SMS based service which enables viewers partake in competitions, quizzes and to send in their predictions and response to questions to win prizes.

Projects Overview: These media outfits required a service to make radio programs more exciting and interactive for their numerous listeners. MTech managed to meet this objective by partnering with them provide and implementing SMS-based services for voting, games, requests, jokes and ringtone download. This is has significantly increased listeners patronage and participation.


• RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
Client: Centre for MicroEnterprise Development

Project Overview: CMD wanted a research conducted on the transaction medium used by Micro Finance Institutions and to propose a mobile technology solution. They intend to provide a convenient and user friendly medium for financial transactions. MTech then went ahead to conduct an extensive research on the current medium applied and proffered a mobile technology solution which is cost-effective and user friendly, putting into consideration the limitations on the current procedure.

Project: Mobile Flight Enquiry Service
Client: Virgin Nigeria Airways

Project Overview: Virgin Nigeria needed a customer service platform on which vital information could be made available to their customers. MTech deployed a mobile flight enquiry service whereby information such as; current flight schedule, latest offers and promotions could be made available to travelers on their mobile phones. MTech also provides Virgin Nigeria with the SMS Broadcast service, (MC@st), for marketing and advertising.
