MTECH PARTNERS WITH LUDUS-ETV LIMITED TO BRING THE “THE MINT” SHOW TO AFRICA.
January 2007
MTech Communications has partnered with Ludus-ETV, the creators of the most successful participatory game show in the United Kingdom, The Mint, to bring the show to Africa.
The Mint is a live, late night, interactive quiz show which gives viewers a chance to win cash prizes, just by correctly answering trivia questions. All calls made to the program using the specific shortcode numbers displayed on the screen are automatically picked by a computer program, which notifies them their calls have been registered. A caller is then selected at random and connected with the live studio. When a caller eventually gets the correct answer during the duration of the show, the prize money will be claimed and a new trivia will be asked creating an opportunity for a new winner.
In conjunction with UK partners, MTech produces the Game show and transmits live feed from production location in the UK, via satellite, which is picked up and broadcasted by the television stations in Nigeria. MTech is currently working with MBI, Silverbird and AIT as non-exclusive broadcast partners within the Nigerian territory, and is currently in the process of launching the show in Ghana and Kenya.
